CAMP HILL FILM SOCIETY
OUR MISSION
The Camp Hill Film Society is a not-for-profit organization devoted to community engagement and education through the primary storytelling media of our time: Film, TV + Digital Content. Through community screenings, classes & workshops we hope to bring the diverse community of Camp Hill + East Alabama together. In the process we hope to nurture local story-making as well as make the community of Camp Hill more visible to the larger filmmaking community.
HISTORIC
CAMP HILL AL
The history of Camp Hill, Alabama casts a long shadow. From highly charged events in international labor history, to early progressive movements in Religion and Education, Camp Hill has engaged with figures as diverse as Labor Activist Ralph Gray of the Sharecroppers Union, World Champion boxer Joe Louis, Universalist Preacher Lyman Ward, progressive Senator Claude Pepper, and more.

The Camp Hill Film Society is based at the 48 Oak Street Community Center (the former UU Parsonage House), right next to the new Town Hall. We are excited to be a part of Camp Hill's current rennaisance, and look forward to hosting screening groups, film clubs, and workshops soon.
